Hi I'm Alex, the founder of Summit Learning. I am a qualified teacher with QTS and PGCE, holding a current Enhanced DBS. At Summit, we specialise in supporting children to master key skills and achieve outstanding results in GCSE Maths and 11+ examinations. We provide bespoke learning schemes to suit your child's goals, strengths and learning needs. We offer one-to-one tuition both online and in-person, with in-person tuition sessions available for students based in North London.

At Summit, we specialise in supporting children to master key skills and achieve outstanding results in GCSE Maths and 11+ entrance examinations. We provide bespoke learning schemes to suit your child's goals, strengths and learning needs. We offer one-to-one tuition both online and in-person, with in-person tuition sessions available for students based in North London.Alongside private one-to-one Maths tuition and entrance exam preparation, I spend three days each week teaching in North London schools, with two days teaching Year 6 Maths and English and one day teaching Key Stage 3/4 Maths. This ongoing experience, professional development and open discourse with expert practitioners, ensures that the students we work with at Summit have access to the most effective learning resources and pioneering teaching and learning strategies.

Maths Tuition
(7 - 16 years old)
Expert, one-to-one Maths tuition led by a qualified teacher & Maths subject specialist. With recent, ongoing experience teaching for all major exam boards, and having taught Maths to all year groups from Year 1 to Year 11, expert tuition is available for children studying GCSE Maths and all levels down to foundational numeracy skills. Based upon your child's specific goals, strengths and learning needs, they will follow a personalised learning scheme which will be tailored to best set them up to achieve mastery in mathematics and success in examinations.
Entrance Exam Preparation
(7 - 11 years old)
Comprehensive preparation for 11+ and private school entrance exams delivered by an experienced tutor and qualified primary teacher, with direct experience of success in applications for highly competitive schools. Depending on the specific exams your child will take, subjects may include, but are not limited to: Maths, Reading Comprehension, Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning, Creative Writing. The exact content of our sessions will be unique to your child and tailored according to your child's learning goals, strengths, and needs.
General Curriculum Support
(7 - 11 years old)
For children in Key Stage 2, learning support is available for all national curriculum subjects. Whether your child is struggling with a specific subject or topic, needs a higher level of challenge, or struggles with confidence in a larger classroom environment - Summit Learning offers personalised, one-to-one tuition delivered by a qualified primary school teacher and experienced tutor. Subjects may include, but are not limited to: Maths, English (Reading, Writing, Phonics), Science, Geography and History.
